Open Night – Tuesday 9 September 2025

This Tuesday evening will be our second Open Night for the year, running from 5:30pm until 7:00pm. Current and prospective school community members will be able to find out more about Year 7 enrolment in 2026, along with our Sports Excellence and STEM programs. There will also be opportunities to enjoy live student performances, dabble in face painting, eat some fairy floss and have some fun with our dunking machine. Our Teachers will also be available to showcase our recently renovated learning spaces.

Looking forward to seeing as many of our community as possible at what will be a great evening.

Big Picture Information Session

This will be running concurrently with our Open Night. Year 8 students have been hearing about our Big Picture program and parents will now have the opportunity to find out more. They will be hearing from our Big Picture teachers who will be able to describe how the program works, while current students and their parents will be sharing their experiences of Big Picture learning.

Year 11 Exams

Teachers will be wrapping up their delivery of the Preliminary Course to Year 11 this week, with exams due to begin next Monday on 15 September 2025. I hope that Year 11 have taken full advantage of the Preliminary Course in building their capacity to achieve success when their HSC Courses begin next term. All students by now should be well into a study routine in the lead up to their exams – I wish them all the best.

Administration and Support Staff

A shout out to our staff in the Front Office, Print Room, Science & Food Tech prep spaces, Library, Tech Support and around our grounds. We could not function without them and the huge variety of work they do to ensure quality teaching and learning is delivered to our students.

SASS stands for School Administrative & Support Staff and we celebrating our SASS Staff as part of the SASS Recognition Week 2025. If you happen to be speaking to any of our SASS Staff, be sure to wish them ’Happy SASS Recognition Week’!

School Captains

I had my final meeting with our current School Captains, Beatrice, Archie, Bronte and Lachie last week. They have been an exceptional group of young leaders with lots of useful reflections on their period of office. Beatrice and Archie chaired our whole school assembly last Wednesday when our candidates for 2026 School Captains presented their cases to students and staff. I look forward to learning about the election results later this week and being able to announce our School Captain Team for 2026.

Wishing all of our school community a great week.
