Cardiff Visit

This week, children from Year 4, 5 and 6 visited Cardiff for a three day adventure! From the pictures, I am sure you will agree that they are having a brilliant time. As I am writing this, they are travelling back home.

I would like to thank Mr Barnes, Mrs Tennant and Miss Davies for accompanying the children to Cardiff and making this visit so special. They deserve a well earned Easter Holiday!

News and Events/Newyddion a Digwyddiadau

Goodbye Miss Davies

This week, we said goodbye to Miss Hannah Davies. Miss Davies has taught in all classes in school but has mainly worked with Year 3/4. She will be missed by children, staff and parents. I would like to thank Miss Davies for her hard work and dedication during her time at Minera School and wish her best wishes for the future.

Eat the Rainbow!

On Tuesday, we held a special lunch called 'Eat the Rainbow'. This was to promote healthy and colourful food. Even Joanne and Lesley got in on the act by dressing as strawberries!

Parent Forum

Thank you to everyone who attended our first Parent Forum Meeting on Monday. Please click on the button below to view the minutes of the meeting:

During the meeting we discussed the recent Parent Survey and focused on areas for development. The survey was very positive and I would like to thank everyone for taking time to complete this.

School Closure to Local Elections on 2nd May

On Thursday 2nd May, Minera School will be used a Polling Station for the Local Elections. Having risked assessed the situation and consulted with the Local Authority, Minera School will be closed to all learners on this day. Learning will switch to online learning.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused but there are no other large buildings in Minera to host a Polling Station and the school could not operate safely and securely with members of the general public on site.
