Ysgol Tir Morfa - Newsletter Friday 27th June 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

The term is flying by! We have lots to fit in over the next three weeks before we finish on Friday 18th July for the summer holidays. Please join us if you can for the Summer Fair next Friday 4th July at 10am.

It was a very special afternoon on Tuesday where I was privileged to join several families in the Memorial Garden for our annual Memorial Service. We had the opportunity to remember all those wonderful pupils and staff who we’ve sadly lost at Ysgol Tir Morfa over the years. Thank you to all those who joined us.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards,

Susan H. Roberts

Headteacher

Our Week at Tir Morfa
Special shout out to this young lady who has made amazing progress with her target of answering the phone! Watch out Naomi you could have someone after your job!!!
Famau students have been practising mindfulness and considering different emotions as well as planting cress seeds and preparing seed beds
Alwen had a super visit to Rhyl library this week. We listened to the librarian, Debbie, read some books related to our topic, the seaside. Exploring the books afterwards was great fun!
We completed our dog and girl art work this week, ready to place into the memorial garden. We have called the girl “Hope” and the dog reminds us of “Barney” who we miss dearly. We put our fingerprints in ink on his back and are hoping the rest of the school will do this too. We are working on the frame that lifts the statue up, tying pieces of organza, ribbons, cellophane, butterflies onto it.
Dosbarth Enfys have been practising their physical skills in soft play.
A messy week in Dosbarth Haul working on our fine motor control and exploring different textures. We’ve had fun exploring edible paints, sand and angel delight!
Dosbarth Tegid have had a fantastic week searching for different types of trees and plants on the school grounds.
Siabod contributing to the Artwork for the North Wales International Music Festival, to be shown at St Asaph Cathedral in September.
Creating wind and rain pictures using a switch in Dosbarth Seren this week.
This week Dosbarth Aled have been showcasing the skills they have learnt in our Homebase room! They have all made fantastic progress this year and worked hard to complete tasks independently!
