Head's Welcome
Dear Families, It has been another busy week here at Canbury and haven't we been incredibly lucky with the weather. It has been lovely to see our students making the most of the sunshine during their downtime and games sessions. There is something about a bit of blue sky that lifts everyone’s spirits! I was absolutely thrilled with the buzz and energy at Monday afternoon’s Careers Fair. It was a pleasure to see our students engaging so thoughtfully with our speakers. I am so pleased to share that the feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive; they were so impressed by our young people and the insightful, curious questions they asked. A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. This week also marked the official start of the public exam season, with our students completing their photography exam. As we move further into the exam period, I would like to ask for a small favour from the rest of the school community. Please keep an eye out for our "Exams in Progress" signs. When you see these, we ask that you move around the building quietly to ensure our Year 11 and 12s have the peaceful environment they need to do their very best. Wishing you all a lovely and restful weekend. Mrs Rich Head

What we've been up to
Canbury Careers Fair
One Monday afternoon we held our inaugural whole school Careers Fair. We had an amazing 19 stalls made up of a variety of wonderful volunteers, who donated their time in order to speak to students and parents about their professions and careers. The school had an amazing buzz as students visited the stalls, completed a bingo card and asked insightful questions to each person. Thank you so much to the staff, students and parents for supporting the event - and of course to those who gave up their time to come and host a stall.
Games
We have been enjoying our first sessions at the athletics track in games, with new skills being learnt and practice for Sports Day being a key aim of the activities!
Scrapbook Club
Scrapbook Club is evolving and students are really letting their creative spirits shine. Here are some photos from this week....
Pizza Party
Campbell House enjoyed their pizza party at lunchtime today, as they achieved the most house points last term. Well done!

Soren's Joke
I took a quiz for what my spirit animal is... I think it made a mistake because it said I'm a dented frying pan - but that does explain why people throw eggs at me!
