APRIL communiqué

Hi everyone,

This year’s month of April has great significance in the life of a Christian and the Church on the whole. It houses the “Holy Week” that begins on Palm Sunday, 13th April, culminating on Resurrection Sunday on the 20th of April.

We are reminded of the experience of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane where He prayed the prayer that opens the flood gates of God’s ultimate plan for the salvation of mankind in Matt. 26:39, “He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Palm Sunday sees the entrance of the King of Kings into His beloved city, Jerusalem, acknowledged by the multitudes as the King who will save His people in Mark 11:9–10, “Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Good Friday is the day our beloved Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sin of the world and forever opens the door for us to be reconciled to God through the blood shed on the cross. His declarative moment before His death in John 19:30, “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” opens the eternal fountain of God’s redemptive plan for the salvation of mankind."

On Resurrection Sunday we rise and worship with full assurance and expectancy of new life, abundant and eternal life, blessed hope and anchor our faith in the miracle and supernatural dimension because, the worst and final enemy of man has been defeated as declared by Paul in 1 Cor. 15:126, "The last enemy to be destroyed is death".

We pray that you will experience the infinite power of God and be assured by the surpassing knowledge of God’s love for you as you reflect on God’s great love for you through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ.

May, “…the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who dwells in you.” Rom. 8:11
