Sasaki has been a force in the backrow for the Moccasins all season. She currently leads the Sunshine State Conference and ranks 30th in the nation in digs per set with 5.13. She has posted double-digit digs in every match this season with a high of 31 versus Hillsdale. She has three double-doubles to her credit with double-figure assists versus Eckerd, Florida Tech, and Embry-Riddle. She is on pace to have the second-highest digs per set average in single season FSC history behind Courtney Veasey's 5.33 average back in 2004.

The Florida Southern College volleyball team fell in a narrow five-set contest against Embry-Riddle at the ICI Center, with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-15, 22-25, 15-13. Morgan Word contributed 14 kills and three block assists. Elizabeth McDonald added 15 kills and three block assists. Brielle Mullen served four aces and collected 17 digs, while handing out a team-best 22 assists. Tori Borton facilitated the offense with 21 assists and recorded 19 digs on the defensive side. Nako Sasaki led the backline and came up one shy of a career-best with 30 digs. Layla Visser dominated the front with seven blocks while adding nine kills.
