Voyagebolivia was founded in 2023 with a clear and simple vision: to create an alternative to traditional tourism in Bolivia. From the very beginning, our mission has been to welcome travelers into family-run accommodations that reflect the warmth, authenticity, and everyday simplicity of Bolivian life. I am Ivan Voyage, a tourism guide since 2019. My journey did not begin in an office, but on the road: traveling as a backpacker, building projects, sharing friendship, working as a bartender, cooking as a chef, and learning from every encounter. Each role, each experience, has shaped the way I understand travel—not just as movement, but as connection and creation. I like to say I am a bit of “Bob the Builder,” because I don’t just design and imagine projects—I build them with my own hands. At the same time, I share what I have learned with volunteers who want to explore the tourism world more deeply. Together, we learn about infrastructure, guest care, project management, and the challenges of running small businesses. Voyagebolivia was born from years of journeys across South America and glimpses of Asia, transforming those lessons into a beautiful alternative tourism project. It reflects the simplicity of family hospitality, the integrity of the traveling community, and the belief that tours can be different—authentic, human, and meaningful. Voyagebolivia is my invitation to discover Bolivia in a different way: building together, sharing knowledge, and creating experiences that leave a lasting mark.
