The end of the school year has arrived!
Our Year 6 Leavers' Assembly was a touching event. There was laughter (and a few tears) as we reminisced about the children's journey and growth over the years. Saying goodbye to our Year 6 pupils is always bittersweet, but we are immensely proud of each one of them. We know they are ready to embark on their next exciting adventure, and we wish them all the success in the world.
A week in pictures
Prize Giving was a moment to reflect on a year of learning through new experiences and a chance to celebrate each pupil's success. Congratulations to all prize winners on their well deserved awards!
A delicious Privilege Lunch was a fitting way to mark so many acts of kindness and good manners. Well done everyone! Mrs Hall
Early Years Sports Day
This year's Early Years Sports Day was blessed with sunshine and blue skies, and the children performed brilliantly in various activities. From running races to obstacle courses, the children showcased their coordination, energy, and team spirit. Our parents also impressed us with their athletic abilities, participating in friendly competitions and setting a great example for the little ones. Thank you to all who made it such a success! Mrs Hughes
Key Stage 1 and 2 Sports Day
Ready, steady and GO! We finally managed to host the much anticipated Prep School Sports Day and we had so much fun! Congratulations to CELTS for taking the Cup this year and thank you to all our parents for joining in the fun. Mrs Hughes
Year 2 transformed an ordinary pool into a playground of fun and excitement with a balloon race during our fun swim afternoon on Monday. Brightly coloured balloons bobbed on the water's surface. Blowing them along to the other side of the pool made this Science Project so much fun! And then we went into Space via the Wonderdome experience in the Theatre! Thank you for a wonderful year and have a lovely Summer! Miss Argyle
It's the end of term, but Year 4 haven't slowed down! 4B worked hard on persuasive letters about the impact of palm oil on rainforests, urging the school to use responsible, sustainable Palm Oil. Watch this space for results from our Head and Catering Team! We've had a fantastic sports day, enjoyed woodland adventures making elder stick buddies, and even designed a sustainable city on the final day, linked to our experience in the space themed Wonderdome in the Theatre. Well done to the class for a brilliant year! Mr Sullivan
In our last full week, Year 5 have been completing their studies, putting the final touches to their DT project on automatic toys and preparing for Prizegiving and Sports Day. For their last Outdoor Learning session of this academic year the class were delighted to explore the school's confidence course. There were cheers of encouragement alongside squeals of delight as they balanced, climbed and crawled. What fun we had! Mrs Youdale
Our last few days in Year 6 have been filled with fun and laughter, making memories with our friends and standing tall at Prize Giving 2024. We are sad to say goodbye to our KC family but we look forward to our next adventure. Thank you from all of us in Year 6.

Musical Theatre Workshop for Years 5 to 8, from 27th to 28th August 2024.
This Summer the Musical Theatre Workshops with West-End principles at Kent College will take place again. The first workshop is for students who will be in Years 5-8 next year and will focus on material from The Greatest Showman, The Addams Family, Frozen, Hairspray and Wicked. The second workshop is for students who will be in Years 9-Upper Sixth next year and will focus exclusively on Les Miserables. At the end of each workshop students will put on a performance for family and friends to showcase the material they have learnt over the course of the workshop. This will be an excellent opportunity for our students to once again work with talented West End performers.
