One of the most successful programs in Mississippi State Athletics history welcomed a major addition in October 2020, as the $8 million Rula Tennis Pavilion opened its doors to competition for the first time.
The $8 million project was made possible by generous donations and funded through the Bulldog Club. Mississippi based companies – Eley Barkley Dale Architects (Jackson) and Hemphill Construction (Florence) - spearheaded the project.
The Rula Tennis Pavilion is located immediately north of the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre – MSU’s outdoor tennis facility – and just west of softball’s Nusz Park.
The facility complements the Pitts Tennis Centre in many ways. In addition to elevated spectator seating and standing room only areas that will accommodate approximately 250 fans, it also features a Daktronics scoreboard system and PlaySight live video streaming that allows fans who are not on-site to follow matches that are played inside the Rula Tennis Pavilion.
