As winners of the 2025 Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition, the most prestigious international award in this genre, TAMUK Trombones earned the chance to perform at the International Trombone Festival (July 16-19) in London, Ontario, Canada.

Texas A&M-Kingsville Holds First Research & Innovation Day
On April 24, more than 45 students presented original research during the university's first ever Research & Innovation Day at the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center.
“We are celebrating research and innovation because this is a pillar for our university,” said Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Jose Espiritu. Students heard from speakers about resource opportunities, customer-centered innovation and the real-world impacts their research can have.
Student Volunteers Provide Free Tax Service
This tax season, students from the College of Business Administration offered free tax preparation for the community through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. These amazing volunteers prepared 351 tax returns, securing $296,486 in total refunds!

Alumna Earns Lifetime Achievement Award
Congratulations to Anna Alaniz '90, Head Swim Coach at Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi, on receiving the Theron Pickle Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association. This recognition comes as Alaniz announces her retirement - after an impactful career of more than 25 years, leaving a lasting legacy behind. Enjoy your well-earned retirement Coach Alaniz!
