For my postcard I decided to do my location as Williston North Dakota. I chose this place because it is a place not a lot of people have been to. My goal was to capture what this place is about and what it has to offer like the oil and farming in the area that makes it a small industrial town. I feel that my postcard captured Williston well and the color of the background helps show the contrast of colors to show the images clear in the picture. I hope that my audience gets the feeling of what it's like to be there from looking at my postcard.
For my montage picture I decided to make it about farmers feeding the world. My goal was to portray that without farmers a lot of people would go without food and that farmers struggle in many ways to do that for people and we should appreciate them more. I feel I captured my goal well with the images I chose and how they help to show my thoughts. I hope my audience looks at this photo and gives appreciation for the people who feed them.
For my movie poster I went with a western rodeo movie because I think it is a dangerous and cool sport and the rodeo has been around for a long time. My goal was to show a kind of movie that there is not a lot of in the cinema industry. I feel that my movie poster had good colors to have a western feel to it and to show the dirt in the arena. I hope my audience can imagine what this movie would look like and what the story would be.
I made a book cover of the book “The Boy Who Harvested The Wind”. I wanted to choose this book because I remember it a lot from when I was in middle school reading it for a project and I wanted to relive that by doing another project on the book. My goal was to visually show a brief summary of the book on the cover. I felt that I could have added more to the cover but the simplicity makes it look somewhat like a classic book. I hope my audience gets the sense of what the book is about and the setting where it is placed.
