But Landscapes are not the only thing I enjoy, Macro has always captured my heart. From bees to butterflies or even close-up imagery of small fauna and flora.

With 5 years of photography experience, I hope you enjoy my work to the fullest.

Black and White

I have always admired the clarity of monochromatic photos. The simplicity of removing colour or sticking to one colour for an image like mellow blue or sepia is a technique I'm fond of. This piece was taken in a town called Whitehead in Ireland. Best known for its pastel/rainbow coloured houses by the sea.

An Ireland port - Close up of a yellow petal - Roof top garden in Canary Wharf-

By the Water

The sea is an expansive topic to cover. Various photographers follow the stream (or boats in this regard) to take pictures from the beach or pier. This piece was shot from a dock with a 44mm focal length. With other water imagery you will see, my 'By the water' series is usually shot during sunsets, where the colour is either subtle or vibrant in the background. And boats are a fun subject matter overall.

- Nearby port - distant shot of a solo boat-

Now for a prominent series of mine.

Drops of Petals

One of my favourite aspects added to flower photography is waterdrops on the petals or even the whole flower. Combined with bokeh and glass macro lenses from Neewer, (this was before I got the Sigma DG) I photographed macro flora with help from a spray bottle. Some flowers were naturally outside while others were photographed indoors.

Next page is close-up imagery of insects. Feel free to skip ahead to 'Feather Way'.

Fuzzy Buddies

A hoverfly was the first insect I have ever photographed, so naturally I wanted to capture other insects. Patience is a huge part of Macro photography with how agile these creatures are. I work without a tripod mostly and rely on timing and continuous shooting. This piece was from a cottage garden with 60mm focal length.

-Bee going inside a Red Fuchsia flower, image rotated-
-From Hadleigh Castle Shoot Bug 1 and 2 - Not stuck just Upside-down-
-'Bee-iness'- Bee in a sunflower -butterfly drinking from a fruit-

Feather Way

While landscape and macro are my priority, wildlife photography is a special theme for me. Birds in particular are a challenge to photograph with constant movement and turning their heads regularly. I would say that bees are no different in terms of rapid motion. In this recent series, 'Feather Way' is about the birds located in parks and ponds. This piece here is called 'George' dedicated to the old man who named him at the lake. Thank you Harold.

-Curious seagulls, I had food on me-
-Whitehead in the background-
-London, Hampstead Heath park- swan and close-up of pigeons-

And finally, my landscapes pictures.

To see or be unseen

These pieces are my best work throughout the years. Travelling to locations despite the weather is my favourite part of photography. I got to see all these beautiful sights where people either don't give a second look or simply unseen from our busy lives. Thank you for viewing my work thus far!

About Me

Hello, I'm Richards Pictures, a fellow photographer from the UK who occasionally travels. My camera is my second pair of eyes and I wouldn't have reached this far without it. I want to go further with my work and share my love for photography with others. My family are my biggest supporters and I thank them dearly. So, what do I plan for the future?

I want to establish a connection with clients who want their photos edited. I will always enjoy crafting my own pictures but the thrill of enhancing a beloved image not just light and colour corrections but to maintain nostalgia. A photo is a memory so even a simple fix and bring a smile to someone.
