Ash Wednesday Service
Thank you to Year 6 and Rev Emma for leading our Ash Wednesday Service earlier this week at St Mary’s Church.
News and Events
Dydd Gwyl Dewi/St David's Day
Next Friday, 1st March is St David's Day. Children will be able to come to school wearing red for Wales to celebrate this special day.
Tempest Class Photographs
On Thursday 7th March, Tempest Photography will be visiting school to take class pictures. Please can children come to school in their full school uniform so that they look smart for the photographs.
World Book Day
We will be celebrating World Book day on Friday 8th March. Children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character. However, they must also bring to school a copy of the book with their character in!
At 2pm on this day, we would like to invite parents into class to read with their child/ren. Further details to follow next week.
Parents Evening
Parents Evening takes place on 12th and 13th March. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress with their class teacher and to have look at their work in school. Appointments will be available to book next week.
Friends of Minera
Disco
Everyone had a lovely time at yesterday's disco and we raised £105. Thank you all for your support; we are also grateful to the parents and staff for giving up their time to help with the disco.
Silver Smarties Fundraiser
The children have all been given a tube of Smarties. We are hoping that they will use the empty tube to collect 20p coins which they earn for doing jobs at home.
If you are happy for your child to take part in this fundraiser, please send the tube and money back to school as soon as possible. Please return in the plastic bag with the child’s name and class on the label.

Easter Bingo
Please note a change the date of the Easter Bingo. The Easter Bingo will now take place on Tuesday 19th March and not on Thursday 21st March.
