Bio/Overview of Norman Busigu
Norman Busigu is a British-Ugandan, born and raised in North-West London (UK). Norman is a critically acclaimed, independent Filmmaker, Media Broadcaster and published fashion Model. Notably, he has been featured in mainstream publications including Forbes Africa (which recognised him as "A Voice In Global Media") GQ South Africa (both in 2023 and 2025), Rolling Stone Africa, Soho House, Yahoo! Finance and the University of The Arts London. In 2025, he was also selected to become a member of Forbes BLK.
Of note, GQ South Africa in 2023 recognised Busigu as "Africa's Modern Storyteller" for his pioneering work in film and media, by helping to positively (re)shape Africa’s global perception. In 2025, he was spotlighted as part of their Young and Gifted Series; Rolling Stone Africa in 2025 also regarded him as "part of a new vanguard shaping global African cinema"; Yahoo! Finance have also described Norman as an “Acclaimed African Documentarian”.

Press
Busigu has created his own Media Platform, Postcards From The Diaspora (PFTD) - a new and disruptive youth-led media platform, which holds the core aim of “bringing us (the worldwide African/Caribbean diaspora) closer to Home”. Busigu leads a dedicated team of emerging journalists and content creators. See website via the link above to learn more about PFTD. Notably, the platform in 2025 was granted official Press accreditation to global festivals/events including Afro Nation Portugal, Africa Fashion Week London, the EMY Africa Rising Symposium at the London School of Economics and AFRICON (Atlanta, USA). Separately, Busigu acted as Official Press at Cannes Lions 2025, and was awarded awarded a Platinum All Access pass to SXSW London 2025.
Docu-Films
Norman currently has two critically acclaimed Docu-Films to his name: "Ghana: Africa's Exciting Entry Point" (2022) and "Nigeria: Can Its Youth Shape Its Future?" (2023). In February 2025 via Yahoo Finance, Norman has announced his eagerly anticipated third Docu-Film "Jamaica: Africa's Close Cousin?" - which will be in collaboration with British Airways.
In 2022, Norman completed his first Docu-Film - "Ghana: Africa's Exciting Entry Point?", produced by So Fraiche Media. This Docu-Film critically examines the phenomenal rise of tourism in Ghana, and contributing factors causing this prominent trend. Notably, Norman and the team were granted Press Access to leading festival, Afrochella 2021, which was headlined by Grammy award-winning artist, Wizkid. Have a watch of the two min trailer below.

- Screened at the Private members Club White City Soho House (June 2022) and Redchurch Cinema (Soho House) (August 2022) - with Deborah Ababio (The Global Entertainment Director for Vogue) and members of the Ghanaian High Commission (UK) in attendance at the former

- Shortlisted as a Semi-Finalist at the Paris International Short Festival, IMDB Qualified (April 2023)
In 2023, Norman successfully completed his second highly anticipated Docu-Film titled "Nigeria: Can Its Youth Shape Its Future?", produced by the Milade Films. See below for the Official Trailer. 6 stunning screening events took place to showcase the new project. Venues included SOAS University, Queen Mary University London, The Lexi Cinema and Soho House in London (UK), Paris (France) and Miami (Florida, USA). This Docu-Film notably was shortlisted at the "Pulling Focus African American Film Festival" 2024 (Iowa, USA) and the IMDb verified "Cannes Arts Film Fest" (Cannes, France) May 2024.

- photoshoots in Hong Kong in 2019, wherein he modeled Designer Diane Goldie’s Bespoke Kimonos.
