Heklos is the musical world between two friends native of Ibiza (Spain), who contemplate and experiment with sound and silence. They take us on a journey to a mystical experience of emotions, ecstasy and connection with the deepest frequencies of our being.
Traveling in their spacecraft, Heklos create soundscapes that will take us directly to ancestral ethnic experiences - merging traditional instruments and electronics - as well as visions of the unknown their original effects and production techniques.
Heklos is a massive Live Looping setup that gathers world music instruments of all kinds (around 70 traditional flutes, sitar, handpan, cello, percussion, voice, …) and electronic sounds (synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines, …) that will take the audience to an ultimate dimension of sound, movement and emotion. Using all their knoledge and tools throughout Live Looping technology, they create a special and unique audiovisual show with a very original music style - from ambient and meditative to cinematic and experimental.
Through their live looping setup, Heklos can produce a whole live set, recording live layer by layer, embellishing the musical journey with high quality effects and very sensitive dynamics.
Héctor Koa and Carlos Vesperinas are the two members behind the name Heklos. Both are multi-instrumentalists, composers, producers, and session musicians who have been classically trained in prestigious music schools. They have performed through countries such as United States, Costa Rica, England, Holland, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Italy and Spain with different symphonic orchestras, chamber music groups or many modern projects.
As Heklos, they have developed the ability to create several setups with the intention of traveling comfortably and adapting to different stages.
Their smallest Live Looping setup still allows them to use this technology together with Ableton Live to record and produce spontaneously any music they can imagine. During the last season 2023, Heklos has focus on a new original repertoire with ethnic and tribal vibes, meditative but yet powerful evolving pads and synths, with uplifting percussion and wild downtempo beats, that makes everbody dance with their deepest consciousness.

Their first single was released in February 2022 under the name of “Pájaros y Ballenas” (Birds and Whales), which opens a window to the wide variety of possibilities that this duo began to offer and share. In a cinematic and visual way of composition, they express the purest essence of Heklos.
"Space Beyond Time" was their second single in 2022. It was very well received by the audience.
In April 2023, Heklos released their debut album: “T-MINUS”. It is an experimental journey through the Space, merging ambient sounds from the space, acoustic and electronic instruments with some organic beats and the classical music background that connects these fellow musicians.

As HEKLOS, Héctor Koa and Carlos Vesperinas also offer a small acoustic setup that focuses on handpan and cello with original music, crossover between classical and modern.

Carlos Vesperinas, a professional musician born in Ibiza, started his musical journey at the age of 8 with an in-depth classical training. He refined his craft at prestigious international music conservatories, including Musikene in Spain and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, obtaining his Master's degree in cello performance in 2019.
With two decades completely dedicated to music, he has developed a wide experience both with chamber music groups such as the Edinburgh Quartet (2019 · Scotland); and orchestras such as the Grafenegg Academy Orchestra (2022 · Vienna). In addition to his expertise in performance, he studied composition and music production. Always trying to find different experiences with music, Carlos crossed paths with Hector, who introduced him to the captivating live looping and world sounds, and that is where Heklos starts. This contemporary trajectory led him to collaborate with notable artists such as Yaima, RY X or Second Light, expanding the horizons of his musical exploration.
Héctor Koa is a professional musician from Ibiza. At the age of 8, he began a very complete classical training at renowned international music conservatories, such as the "Manhattan School of Music" (NY, USA) and the "Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Amsterdam University of the Arts" (Holland); where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in classical flute in 2019, after 15 years of studies.
During 20 years of experience with complete dedication in the musical universe, Héctor Koa has also studied composition, film scoring, jazz, flamenco and music production. Besides, he has been part of numerous classical symphonic orchestras, chamber music groups, and ensembles as a multi- instrumentalist, specializing in several ethnic instruments and traditional music from different cultures - while his passion for World Music has led him to gather a huge collection of traditional instruments of all kinds, which he merges in his Live Looping experimental and ambient music project: Heklos.
Moved and motivated by the connection and love that he feels towards Nature, Héctor Koa keeps investigating the fields of consciousness and self- knowledge. Listening to his concerns, he began to create ambient and relaxation music, while discovering the exciting world of mantras and Kirtan. With great privilege and gratitude, he has collaborated and played live sessions with great world-renowned references such as Deva Premal & Miten, Krishna Das, Jai Uttal or the guitar virtuoso Estas Tonne. Héctor is honored to share his experience and the voice of his instruments in retreats, yoga and meditation sessions, ceremonies, sound journeys and other activities related to well-being and conscious practices.
