Le Grand Pique-Nique is an annual festival that brings together French immersion students, their families, friends, and Francophone enthusiasts from all over the state to celebrate French language complete with Francophone activities, food, music, games, and competitions.
In 2024, it will enter its 29th year attracting students from all 25 French Immersion schools across Louisiana. The Council for the Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL) selected Baton Rouge Foreign Language Academic Immersion Magnet (FLAIM) and Westdale Middle Magnet schools to host their annual Le Grand Pique-Nique at West Baton Rouge Museum on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Appel à tous les talents!
Kids, families, community members, individuals, groups - ALL - are invited to showcase their unique skills in the LGPN Talent Showcase. With live music scheduled for a portion of the day, there is an opportunity for performances in music, dance, performance art, poetry, skits, and song. All talents are welcome! Those interested can email organizers now to take center stage and let their talent shine!

SCHOOL SHOWCASE TABLES: Attending schools are encouraged to bring a small display to provide attendees with more information about their program. (For example, a tri-fold board with basic information: school name, photos of French immersion students/classes, samples of class projects, etc.) Schools interested in participating are asked to email LGPN so that a table can be set up. For more information.
PARTNER/ORGANIZATION TABLES: LGPN is collaborating with local and state organizations to offer information about French opportunities within Louisiana, nationally and internationally. Additionally, the initiative explores how students can leverage their French fluency for future education, careers, and life.
