Witnesses Reveal a Shocking Plot to Murder the Prince of Ithaca By Ella Gan

As of late, the brave and young prince of Ithaca, Telemachus, has set out on a voyage to find his father, Odysseus. Will he be able to endure the hardships of the sea and bring his father glory? Many Ithacans are skeptical of Odysseus’s return and believe Telemachus is flying too close to the sun.

Telemachus's boat

Last week, Telemachus gathered all the men of Ithaca, and announced he’d be gone for a journey to find Odysseus. Polybus, a witness of Telemachus's stunt, says that this ordeal “must lie in the gods’ lap”, advising Telemachus to give up. Unfortunately, after the gathering, Telemachus set sail without regards to the people’s advice, leaving his poor mother Penelope at the hands of her suitors.

With both men out of the house, will there be anyone to protect it? And as of late, Penelope’s suitors have been acting oddly in sync. Is this a plot to win Penelope over while the men are away? Their conversations say otherwise. A number of people have overheard the suitors' conversations regarding…the death of Ithaca’s prince! Are the suitors gutsy enough to murder Telemachus?
