Welcome
Hi, I’m Jakub, call me Jacob. I love coding, design, and photography. My projects are a blend of technology and creativity, where I learn and share my knowledge. This portfolio is not just a showcase—it’s also a learning journey where I share the step-by-step process of building websites and apps. My goal is to keep things friendly, clear, and practical, so anyone interested in coding or design can learn with me. I work with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP, blending technical skills with a creative eye to build websites and capture unique visual stories.
Photography & Visual Sense
Photography lives between light and dark — light shapes the subject, while shadows give depth and emotion. Together, they create balance, mood, and meaning in every image.
Shooting with a Canon EOS 750D, a reliable DSLR that delivers sharp images, rich colours, and full creative control — perfect for capturing both everyday moments and professional projects.
Technology I use
Coding Languages
HTML & SCSS → To structure and style pages in a clean, scalable way.
JavaScript → To bring interactivity and dynamic behaviour into my projects.
PHP & MySQL → To handle back-end logic, connect to databases, and build secure features.
I focus on writing teaching-friendly code, explaining concepts simply, and paying attention to security—avoiding injection attacks and keeping projects stable.

Story & Journey
Background
I am from Prague, Czech Republic. At the age of 35, I moved to Scotland to gain international experience and improve my English. In 2019, I decided to fully commit to coding and design. Since then, I’ve been constantly learning, developing my skills, and pushing myself step by step forward.
Turning Point
When I watched Free Solo and saw Alex Honnold climb El Capitan without a rope, I realized something: if he could face such a challenge with focus and commitment, then I could face mine. For me, that challenge was learning to code—without shortcuts, without safety nets. Those documentaries taught me the value of dedication and responsibility. I carried that mindset into coding, starting from the very basics and steadily building my skills step by step.
Now, I see coding as a way of building freedom, creativity, and solutions—both for myself and others.
Gallery
I love exploring coding and want to share what I learn. While I haven’t formally taught yet, I enjoy explaining concepts step by step, using real projects to make learning practical and fun. I plan to guide beginners over Zoom, WhatsApp, or online coding platforms, helping them build skills while strengthening my own coding habits.
Thanks for visiting my portfolio!
Feel free to check out my projects, follow my progress, or reach out if you’d like to collaborate. I’m always open to learning, sharing knowledge, and building something new.
