Emmett Sheehan, Season Out Tommy John Surgery, 12 including "pitcher" Ohtani

One more patient was added to the LA Dodgers' Pitcher Injury Ward.

The Dodgers announced on the 17th (Korea Standard Time) that right-hander Emmett Sheehan underwent UCL surgery on the right elbow ulnar collateral ligament of the season out on the 16th.

However, it is not known whether it is a complete Tommy John surgery.

Sheehan was scheduled to compete for a rotation spot this year. However, in early March, he suffered shoulder discomfort and general pain at spring camp. Since then, he has started the season on the injured list.

At first, it was known as a shoulder injury, but it was corrected due to forearm inflammation, and it was reported that he eventually underwent Tommy John surgery.

With the suspension of the season, Dodgers has 11 players on the injured list. They include Shihan, Clayton Kershaw, Dustin May, Tony Gonsolin, Kyle Hurt, Bobby Miller, Ryan Brazier, Connor Brogdon, Brusda Graterol, Joe Kelly, and Evan Phillips. Including Shohei Ohtani, who is only a hitter this year, the number is 12.

Among them, Kershaw is expected to take the mound in the second half of this year, but the rest are unclear.

The Dodgers" current starting rotation consists of Tyler Glasnow, James Paxton, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Walker Buehler and Gavin Stone. Buehler recently joined.

When Ohtani and others return to the mound next year, the Dodgers' rotation is expected to be completely different from now. 안전놀이터

Glasnow, Yamamoto and Buehler are expected to remain the same. Three of Ohtani, May, Gonsolin and Miller are expected to take the remaining three spots. If he remains with the Dodgers next year, Kershaw is also a candidate.

To prevent injury, the team is giving them five days off. Ryan Yarbrough, Eliser Hernandez and Michael Grove are being deployed for bullpen games.
