Brief Summary of Friday Sermon 29th December 2023

After reciting Tashahhud, Ta‘awwuz and Surah al-Fatihah, His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad(aba) said that he would continue highlighting incidents from the Battle of Uhud.

His Holiness(aba) said that upon the Muslims abandoning their station on the mound, the disbelievers launched a fierce attack from the rear. However even in this frantic state, the Holy Prophet(sa) maintained steadfast and patient. The Holy Prophet(sa) would call out to the companions hearkening them to return to the battlefield and fight.

His Holiness(aba) quoted Hazrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad(ra) who writes:

‘When the Companions of ‘Abdullah bin Jubair(ra) saw that victory had been secured, they said to their Amir, ‘Abdullah, “Now victory has been secured and the Muslims are collecting spoils of war. Permit us to join the army as well.” ‘Abdullah(ra) restrained them and reminded them of the strict order of the Holy Prophet(sa), but they were becoming heedless in the joy of victory, and therefore, did not abstain, and left their positions saying, “All that the Holy Prophet(sa) inferred was that the mountain pass should not be left empty until security fully prevailed, and now that victory has been clinched, there is nothing wrong with proceeding forward.” Hence, except for ‘Abdullah bin Jubair(ra) and five or seven companions, there remained no one to secure the mountain pass. When the sharp eye of Khalid bin Walid caught sight of the mountain pass from afar, he found it to be an empty field, upon which he quickly gathered his riders and immediately proceeded towards it. Behind him, Ikramah bin Abu Jahl also followed suit with whatever was left of the detachment, and quickly reached there. Both of these detachments instantly martyred ‘Abdullah bin Jubair(ra) and the few companions who stood by his side and suddenly attacked the Muslim army from the rear. Assured of their victory, the Muslims, who were unmindful and dispersed, became flustered by this sudden misfortune. Yet, despite this, they managed to regain themselves and attempted to fend off this attack by the disbelievers. At this instance, a cunning enemy called out, “O Ye Muslims! The disbelievers have launched an attack from the opposing front as well!” Taken aback, the Muslims turned upon their heels again, and in a state of confusion, without thinking, they began to swing their swords at their own men. On the other side, when Umrah bint Alqamah, a brave woman from Makkah, witnessed this sight, she immediately moved forward, and took hold of the Quraish flag, which had until now been laying in the dust, and raised it into the air. Upon witnessing this, the dismembered army of the Quraish once again regrouped, and in this manner, the Muslims became completely surrounded by the enemy from all four sides. An awful state of panic erupted within the Muslim army. The Holy Prophet(sa), who was witnessing this entire sight from an elevated location, called out to the Muslims again and again, but his voice would drown in the noise and commotion. Historians write that all this transpired in such a short period of time, that most of the Muslims even began to attack each other, and no distinction remained between friend and foe. As such, certain Muslims were wounded at the hands of other Muslims, and Yaman(ra), the father of Hudhaifah(ra), was even martyred accidentally by the Muslims. At the time, Hudhaifah(ra) was present nearby. He continued to exclaim, “O Ye Muslims! This is my father,” but at the time, who would pay heed? Afterwards, the Holy Prophet(sa) desired to pay the blood money for Yaman(ra) on behalf of the Muslims, but Hudhaifah(ra) refused to accept and said, “I forgive the Muslims for the blood of my father.”’

How to Celebrate New Year

The year 2023 is going to end tonight. Most people will celebrate this night in worldly manners. As an Ahmadi Muslim, it is our duty to obey the instructions of our beloved Huzoor e Anwar ABA.

The new year is starting tomorrow InshAllah, pray for a blessed new year in Tahajjud tonight and also for the end of persecution from the world. Also pray for the world to understand the purpose of sending the Promised Messiah. Pray to believe you (Promised Messiah) too. May Allah protect everyone….

Anyway, may Allah Ta'ala bless the new year in every way and especially pray for the new year to be blessed in every way. May Allah have mercy on the Muslim Ummah. And may the Ahmadiyya Jamaat continue to be blessed with progress in the coming years, continue to give progress.

MKA National Aamla

The election for the president of MKA took place during the MKA Ijtema on 15th of October. After the approval of our beloved Huzoor e Anwar ABA, Fareed Ahmad Shb is now the president of MKA for the years 2023-2025. The national aamla for the year 2023-2024 is as follows:

Report on MKA & MAA Annual Ijtema 2023:

The Annual Ijtema event organized by Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya Finland brought together a diverse and enthusiastic group of participants who gathered to engage in a day of spiritual, educational, and recreational activities. The event was designed to foster unity and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among the attendees, providing them with a platform to deepen their understanding of their faith.

1st Day of Ijtema:

The day began with a spiritual start as all attendees congregated for the Tahajjud and Fajr prayers. It was a serene and tranquil moment as participants connected with their creator in the early morning hours.Following the prayers, a hearty breakfast was served to all participants, providing an opportunity for social interaction and camaraderie.

The flag hoisting ceremony marked the official commencement of the event. National President Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Finland, President Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya Finland and Missionary incharge Finland, addressed the attendees, shedding light on the true purpose of the Annual Ijtema and inspired the audience with their words.

In the Tilawat competition, the young participants 7-12 years old Miyar e Sagheer and 12-15 years old Miyar e Kabeer showcased their Quranic recitation skills. After that the Tiliwat competition of Khuddam aged 16+ started. The participants' performances were commendable, and the atmosphere was charged with the spirit of competition and devotion.

Atfaal, displayed their creativity in the poem competitions, capturing the attention of the audience with their melodious recitation of the selective poetry from Hazrat Maseeh e Maud AS and his caliphs’. Proceeding to that, Khuddam poem competition was held.

A general knowledge quiz was held, open to both Khuddam and Atfal participants evaluating them around a variety of domains in general knowledge. Participants showed their enthusiasm in quickly and correctly answering the questions demonstrating their knowledge.

The Atfal participants impressed the audience with their abilities to express their knowledge by their speeches in the speech competition on intriguing and profound topics, showcasing their intellectual growth and oratory skills.

Following the educational competitions, the participants gathered for Zuhur and Asr prayers, reinforcing their spiritual connection.For lunch, a delicious pasta meal was served followed by ice cream dessert, delighting the participants. The attendees savored the meal and engaged in casual conversations, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood.

After the lunch, a competition of chinese whispers was held between 4 teams of Khuddam each consisting of 5 members, to test their memorization skills. In this competition, messages are whispered from person to person and then the original and final messages are compared.On the other hand, the Azan competition between atfal was held at the same time. The Atfal participants had the opportunity to engage in sports competitions like musical chairs, arm wrestling, target ball shooting.

2nd Day of Ijtema:

The 2nd day of Ijtema started with Fajr prayer. Afterwards breakfast was served to the Khuddam who stayed overnight at the Namaz Center.

This year two new physical activities (skeet shooting & Bowling) were introduced for Khuddam at Ijtema as compare to the traditional sports. Due to some misunderstanding, skeet shooting could not be done. Instead Khuddam enjoyed a delicious meal at Burger King.After that Khuddam went for bowling and displayed their expertise in it and proceeding to that some Khuddam played friendly matches of snooker with each other.

Then after the Zuhar and Asr prayer Lunch was served and elections of President MKA Finland for the year 2023-2025 and Qaideen for the year 2023-2024 took place. Around 17:00 the concluding session started in which Mo’atmid Shb presented the annual report of MKA Finland and Naib Nazim e Ala Shb presented the report of Ijtema. After that, the prize distribution ceremony took placed. Following that Murabbi Shb said few words to increase the brotherhood between Khuddam. The Ijtema ended with a silent prayer.

The Annual Ijtema event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual rejuvenation among the participants. It was a 2 days event filled with devotion, intellectual growth, and camaraderie, bringing the community closer together. The event achieved its goal of promoting the true purpose of the Ijtema - to deepen one's faith, knowledge, and bond with the community. The closing was done with the prize distribution among the position holders. President Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya and Missionary incharge Finland, delivered the closing speech at the end of the ceremony. It was a memorable event that left everyone looking forward to future Ijtemas.
