Launch of postpartum haemorrhage guidelines

On 5 October 2025, HRP and WHO, together with FIGO and ICM, released the new WHO Consolidated Guidelines on the Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) during the Presidential Session of the FIGO World Congress.

This dissemination kit aims to raise awareness and galvanize action on preventing maternal deaths from PPH, a leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide.

Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) causes around 45,000 maternal deaths each year, mostly preventable with timely care.
