This photo shows a Rally car drifting around a hairpin turn. Creating this photo I learned how one can use props in a photo to reduce the amount of work you have to do to the photo, and how it enhances the photo itself. My goal was to show my love for Rally racing. I feel this photo is a good representation of that, this photo also makes me imagine what it’s like to be driving the car. When someone sees this image I hope they decide to look into Rally Racing and love it how I do.
This photo is of a statue of the popular humpty dumpty at my local park. Creating this photo I learned that there are many interesting statues begging for people’s attention, and this is just one of them. My goal was to create a goofy photo of the steel eggman at my park. I feel that I have achieved this goal, as the face of this statue is funny to see. When someone sees this I hope they go out and try to look for funny statues near their home.
This photo is of a bee going on his day, resting or collecting pollen for his hive. Creating this photo I learned how I could use macro, and how interesting macro is. One of my goals was to show people the interesting small world that we don’t pay attention to. I feel this image shows how beautiful the world of the small is. I hope when someone sees this they will begin to notice the literally little things in life.
This is a photo of a drying rack used primarily for baby bottles. I learned that even the obscure tools that we use today can result in awesome photos. My goal was to show people that what we don’t use anymore can still be used in some way or another. I feel this photo gives off a strange feeling, as if the spikes go on forever. When someone sees this I want them to think twice about throwing something away you could still use.
This is a photo of a leaf in a pot inside of my home, which happens to also kind of look like a lizard. Creating this photo I learned that finding one thing that looks like another can have a strange effect on how you see the photo. My goal was to show the detailed texture of the leaf. I feel this photo archives this very well. I want my audience to see the leaf as a lizard at first, focus on it and realize it's a leaf.
This is a photograph of part of a stone wall near my home. Taking this photo I learned that the wall is not just cool to see when driving past but it’s also very cool up close. My goal was to show that landmarks are not just cool from a distance but from up close as well. I feel this image archives that but I think using a more relevant landmark would have been even better. I want my audience to see this and go up close to their favorite landmarks, to see it in even more detail.
This is a photo of my little sister running from ghostly parts of her, seemingly in some sort of haunted house. I learned how to collage multiple photos into one to create something unusual. My goal with this image was to involve someone in my family in my picture taking. I am pretty proud of this, as it took the most effort to make. I want my audience to see this and get their loved ones into their hobbies and the things they enjoy.
This is a pretty basic photo of the reflection on a puddle under a bench, which is also duotone. When making this image I learned how to use duotone inside of photoshop. My goal of this image is to find something interesting in something very basic. I feel that the title to the piece really has no much to do with it but it was a cool title that didn’t take long to think of. When my audience sees this I want them to take a photo and learn how to make it duotone.
This is a photo of a normally black and white stained glass on my window, which was hand colored to give it the stained glass look. When making this image I learned the hard way how time consuming hand coloring an image like this was and how difficult it is to do it with a mouse. My goal was to make this image look like it was originally stained glass. I feel that this picture does look like that. I want my audience to see this and take a black and white picture and hand color it.
This is a black and white photo of water from a small fountain. I learned how interesting the water texture looks when it's black and white. My goal was to create a semi surreal photo of basic water. I feel that I achieved this in this picture. When my audience sees this picture I want them to go out to their local fountain and take a cool photo of the ‘texture’ of the water.
This is another oil and water photo collage, this time the format is more formal. I learned how the format of the images can leave a big impact on the photo. My goal was to create something that had formality to it. I feel this achieves that. I want my audience to try to do something formal, even if it seems boring.
This is a photo collage of oil and water photos with beautiful line patterns in the background. I learned when making this how awesome oil and water photos are, when I first heard of them I thought they wouldn't turn out good, but I was wrong. My goal was to create something that would make you feel the same as how you would look at a sunset. I feel that I have achieved this, at least for me. I want my audience to really take some time to notice the detail in the image.
This a photo of the grass in my backyard, I got these by laying down and focusing on one object in the grass. When taking the photos I learned that you can take even better photos when you utilize the angle of which you take them. I feel that this photo gives the feeling of being an ant, as the blades of grass and clover are so much bigger than you. I want my audience to lay down and take some pictures from the perspective of an ant, to see how much it affects the image.
While creating these images I also managed to obtain an Adobe Photoshop certification.
