Congratulations to Lilian Villec!

Lilian Villec received a merit scholarship to study in Japan this summer with CIEE Global Navigator Study Abroad Program! (There is still time to apply- deadline is April 10th) Congratulations, Lilian!

Lilian applied for acceptance into the CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange) Japanese Language & Culture program in Tokyo, Japan. She was lucky enough to be awarded a scholarship through the CIEE sponsored Global Navigator Scholarship fund. Acceptance into the program and scholarship funds were awarded to applicants based on merit, need, grade performance, and an essay submission. Lilian is so grateful to not only have been selected into the program but to have also been awarded a scholarship that covers 1/4 the cost of the program. Without this help, she may not have been able to go. She will spend 4 weeks in Tokyo from July 6th to August 2nd with a host family. She will be immersed in the language, be able to eat traditional meals, and participate in daily cultural activities. She will also be able to go on weekend excursions throughout the country. By participating in a language program, students have the option to gain a college credit. Congratulations, Lilian! Are you interested? It's not too late- deadline is April 10th. See info above in upcoming events section.
