HamWeg Galaxy ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIA - Amulet of Avalorien
As a young man, Merlin witnessed a cataclysm that would change the course of his life forever. From the heavens, Zeus hurled lightning bolts that sent Hercules and Perseus crashing to Earth in a blaze of divine fury.
The impact unleashed a magical shockwave so powerful that it saturated the land — and Merlin himself — with the raw, untamed essence of Olympus. It turned his flame-red hair to ghostly white and halted the ticking of his mortal clock. He had become immortal. From that sacred ground, imbued with Zeus’s lingering magic, Merlin carved the Temple of Light and crafted his first magical staff — both pulsing with divine energy.
For a hundred years, he stood as Guardian of the temple, until he passed the mantle to a worthy successor and set off into the world, drawn by a thirst for deeper knowledge and arcane truth. Months into his journey, he encountered the Northern Druid tending to the Northern lands. Together, they traveled across the wild Barbarian realms of Iwarim and Kollu, sharing tales around campfires of faeries, demons, lost worlds, and monsters.
It was during one such night that the Druid spoke of an ancient magic: the Cardinal Stones — Haloite, Etheros, Azurarion, and Solspire — four totems brimming with Elemental power, for any living being who posses them.
After parting ways with the Druid, Merlin found his thoughts consumed by the stones. What could they do combined? Could their union unlock powers beyond mortal or even divine comprehension?

Driven by that vision, Merlin spent nearly a decade tracing the Cardinal Stones across fortified kingdoms and hidden sanctuaries. He learned a crucial truth: most could only wield a single stone without being torn apart by its power. A rare few could control two, gaining powers like shapeshifting or telekinesis.
But Merlin dreamed bigger! To achieve his goal, he first forged an artifact worthy of the gods — an amulet made of smelted Atyrauium, that could channel and contain the combined force of the Cardinal Stones, a true vessel of destiny.
Next came the deception. Disguised as the Northern Druid, Merlin traveled to each of the stone holders. Using his magic, he persuaded them to let him draw a sliver from their sacred stones using his magical staff. One by one, the fragments were gathered.
With reverent hands, Merlin placed each shard into the amulet, and when the lid clicked into place, the centerpiece of the amulet shimmered and transformed into a swirling viridian gemstone, glowing with the merged essence of all four Cardinal Stones.
He had done it! With the power of the stones united, Merlin transcended even his wildest imagination and had his vision expanded beyond the veil of time and space. As one of the most powerful totems on Earth Merlin christens it the — Amulet of Avalorien!
Powers of the Amulet of Avalorien:
When Merlin grips the Amulet of Avalorien in his right hand, a green haze clouds his eyes, signaling the onset of a powerful form of precognition.
The amulet allows Merlin to mentally scan possible futures, identifying the most likely outcomes among countless branching paths.
Typically, Merlin limited his foresight to no more than 15 minutes ahead, concentrating on the most probable events to avoid overwhelming uncertainty. Although the clarity of these visions fades with greater distance in time or geography, with experience he could steal glimpses of events decades—or even a century—ahead. With continued use, his ability to interpret and navigate these possibilities improved.
The more likely a future becomes, the sharper and more vivid it appears to Merlin when holding the Amulet of Avalorien. Merlin over time learned how to influence events subtly, adjusting choices and actions to tilt the odds toward preferred outcomes. Within a 30-minute window, Merlin's predictions were accurate about 97% of the time.
