Certification Options

The Technology Committee has assembled a list of certifications and badges for students interested in demonstrating communication-related skills to potential employers. This information is available on a Canvas course titled “JMC Certification Options” for instructors to import into their courses. If faculty would like to be added to the canvas course, please email halawrenz@ku.edu. We are also interested in growing the list of certifications/badges. If you have something you would like us to add to our list, please email gberendzen@ku.edu.

Cool stuff, apps, lessons

InDesign + InCopy Beta

A potential game changer for designers and those working collaboratively. This new feature allows you to create or open any cloud document, share it with content editors, and assign specific text frames to each collaborator. Each collaborator can only edit their specific text frame and the design receives the changes in app.

Speed up your Premiere Workflow

The new context-aware Properties panel more efficient for those familiar with the app and easier for app newbies. With controls to adjust video, audio, text and graphics in a Quick Actions panel and context awareness, you can modify clips quickly.
