Director's Corner

Dr. Jodie Rommel, Director of Integrated Services

Dear Families,

As we wrap up the school year, I want to convey my sincere gratitude to all of you for an incredible school year of growth and resilience. Thank you for entrusting us with your children/teenagers/young adults. Thank you for authentically partnering with us.

There is a lot to celebrate and I know we have many areas to improve upon. We will continue to work hard to ensure students and families have the best possible experience in PSD. Let's keep the lines of communication open. Don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Congratulations to all of our seniors!!

Wishing you a wonderful summer!

Kindly,

Jodie

Rocky Mountain High School Give Next Program

Give Next is a year-long program that challenges participating students to explore complex social issues, think critically about their role in creating change, and take action by investing in local nonprofits.

At RMHS, the Give Next program is done in the center-based Affective Needs program. $5,000 was donated by local donors through the Bohemian Foundation and $4,200 was donated through student fundraisers. In total, RMHS donated $9,200 to local non-profits that work to prevent suicide among adolescents.

Thanks to the students, staff, donors and contributors who make this program possible!

Summer engagement

Last year, School Psychologist, Caitlyn Hartjes and Integrated Services Teacher, Katie Dionesotes, put together some summer engagement opportunities that are worth sharing again as summer quickly approaches.

Summer Activities

One of our Occupational Therapists, Lacey Shupe, has put together some great free and low cost summer activities that are accessible to students with disabilities, but open to all ability levels! The events at Lory State Park are free (flyers below), but the park pass is not. However, you can check out a park pass from the library for free! Thanks, Lacey!
