Mac's News

NSW Small Schools Knockout Soccer Competition

The Mulbring Soccer team took on Jilliby Public School in the second round of the Small Schools Knockout competition. After plenty of hard work and training, the team played brilliantly and came away with a fantastic win!

This victory means we now advance to take on Somersby Public School. To make the most of the day, we’ve arranged to play two rounds on the same day — Thursday 28th August at Baddeley Park, Cessnock, with games kicking off from 10:00am.

NAIDOC Celebrations

Australian Primary Principal's Day

Friday 1st of August was Australian primary principals day, a special day to recognise and celebrate the incredible work our principal, Miss Lennard, does every single day. 💛

We are so lucky to have such a fantastic leader at our school — someone who leads with dedication, friendship, kindness and a whole lot of heart. Miss Lennard makes a difference in the lives of our students, staff and families every day, and today we took a moment to say THANK YOU!

This morning we shared some delicious donuts with Miss Lennard and gifted her a special poster to hang in her office as a small token of our appreciation.

Thank you, Miss Lennard, for everything you do — we are so grateful to have you at the helm of our school community! 🍩💐👏

Zone Athletics

Congratulations to the 11 students who proudly represented Mulbring Public School at the Zone Athletics Carnival held in Maitland. We had some fantastic results across both track and field events, and we are now eagerly awaiting confirmation of qualifiers for the Regional Carnival, which will take place on Friday 5th September at Glendale Athletics Track.

Well done to all our competitors on their outstanding effort and results!

Term 3 High-Potential and Gifted Education

Creative Domain:

This program is designed to identify and support students who demonstrate advanced potential in the creative domain.

Over the past few weeks, students have explored the art of photography through the lens of nature—Each photo tells a story, reflecting not only the beauty of the natural world but also the thoughtful, imaginative minds behind the camera. They’re learning about techniques like using different angles, framing their shots, and thinking about what’s in the background and foreground to build an amazing shot that tells a story.

Book Cover Winner

Archer - Well done on a winning design for our kindergarten 2026 "I'm Going To Mulbring Public School" Book.

If you’d like to share a favourite family recipe, please make sure to submit it by Monday 8th September, which is the final day for entries. We’re looking forward to creating a special collection of delicious dishes from our school community! Please fill in the form on School Bytes to submit your recipe. If you need help contact the school office.

Reminder: Year 6 will be selling Freddo Frogs and ice blocks for $1 each every Friday at recess to support their fundraising efforts.
