The Weekly Update

The Week Ahead!!

Thanksgiving Wellness Break

With every extended break this school year, MSE will be treating the upcoming Thanksgiving Break as a "Wellness Break." That means that during the break - November 27 - December 1, there will be no work, projects, quizzes or tests to study for, nothing sent home for students to work on during the break. We want to prioritize rest, relaxation, and family time during the break and we encourage parents to follow suit and disconnect from your work as much as possible and use the time together. Teachers are also encouraged to take the time to recharge and not check email, lesson plan, and relax! We firmly believe these breaks help everyone in our MSE Community be able to rest and come back ready to go!

Attendance Reminders!

We are doing great on attendance at MSE this year, thank you parents! Remember that we want every child at MSE every day so they can learn and interact with their peers and teachers. They learn best when they are in school. If your child is sick, it is always good practice to get doctors notes for those days. In addition, appointments, grab a letter as well! We are constantly working with students to get them involved in their attendance and seeing what is impacting them, stay tuned for raffles and incentives for tardies and attendance!

Student Travel Opportunity!

Helping Families In Need

Our school is sponsoring 2 families that have had huge financial hardships from Waynesville Middle School in North Carolina. Due to the hurricanes, these 2 families lost their houses and all of their belongings and are now struggling to pay rent, buy food and have basic necessities. Their school has created Wishlist to help. If you would like to donate, please use either link. The donations will go directly to the school and they will receive the items for Christmas. If there are any questions, please contact Mrs. Conger at congesh@lc-ps.org.
