Bhavika Pasuparthi

Musical Curiousity

She was always curious about music, be it a 2-month-old baby fighting colic pain or a 14-year teenager agonizing to solve a non-linear equation, Bhavika always finds solace in music.

Hands on Experience

Bhavika always has her hands on any musical instrument or studio gear she has access to. This energy introduced her to the blessings of many accomplished artists like Dr. Vyzarsu Balasubrahmanyam, Sri Komanduri Ramachari, Sri Kishan Patel, Sri R Hari Krishna.

Guru Smt Malavi Mudigonda

She began her carnatic vocal music training with Smt. Malavi Mudigonda from Portland, Oregon, where she trained Bhavika for 5 years. Sri Mahesh Mudigonda was ever-supporting throughout her journey, accompanying Bhavika on Mridangam in her classes and concerts. Bhavika's favorite memory with her Malavi Aunty was about this magical old music "ripped book" she used to get ready before class every day.

And of course, Bhavika loved goofing around with the rest of the Mudigonda family during breaks.

Guru Vidwan Sri Ganesh Rajagopalan

Bhavika has been under the tutelage of Grammy awardee Vid. Sri Ganesh Rajagopalan for the past 5 years. She has been undergoing intensive vocal training with Sri Ganesh ji to enhance her voice culture and tonal quality. Bhavika is blessed to be learning from the creative genius and seeks to be a lifelong student of Ganesh sir's teachings.

Bhavika likes to maintain her meticulous work of writing music notations in her own "ripped books". Our weekly car rides from Portland to Seattle for her classes are always filled with car concerts of her own.

Her Performances

Bhavika has shown passion for music and singing through her various performances at local events and Margazhi festivals. She has showcased her talent on many platforms both locally and internationally, earning numerous awards at events such as Shravya by the Sudhaarnava Academy, Malaysia Tyagaraja Festival, American Telangana Association, and Gaanotsava 2K23 by the Veenadhari Institute of Music & Fine Arts.

Her passion for Arts

In addition to her accomplishments in Carnatic music, Bhavika is always part of her school choir team and has participated in productions with artist Eric Whitacre through the Oregon Repertory Singers Youth Choir. She learns Hindustani classical music from Sri. Kishan Patel.

Bhavika learned the Indian classical dance form, Bharatanatyam for over 6 years under the guidance of her gurus, Smt. Shivagami Vanka and Smt. Anita Menon. She also pursued Western classical violin for more than 2 years with Ms. Hong Chou.

Northwest Pacific Tree hugger

Outside of her pursuits in performing arts, Bhavika enjoys playing badminton and hiking the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.
