Community Holiday Singalong

The Economic Development Commission will be sponsoring the annual Community Sing-A-Long on Saturday, December 9th at 4:30 p.m. on Memorial Field.

Join us for the New Fairfield Economic Development Commission's third annual community gathering, a festive celebration to spread holiday cheer and goodwill!

Sing songs celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and the most wonderful time of the year with your neighbors while shopping local vendor booths and snacking on some winter favorites! And of course, Santa Claus will be making an appearance!

CALLING ALL LOCAL VENDORS! Set up a FREE table at this amazing annual community event. Great opportunity to sell gifts for the holiday season.

Vendors of all kinds are welcome to join us, from crafts and artisans to restaurants to organizations who just want to serve up some hot cocoa.

Drop Off Center Salt/Sand Mixture for Winter

Residents are welcome to pick up salt/sand for personal use at the Drop Off Center during regular business hours at no charge. There is a limit of two 5 gallon pails per resident, per storm. (No commercial/business use.) Please bring your own buckets and shovel.

WINTER SOLSTICE

Winter begins on Thursday, December 21st.

ALERT NOW NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

Enroll now to be sure to receive New Fairfield alert notifications during the winter.

We recommend participating in the “Alert Now” system to receive notification from the Selectman’s Office regarding weather alerts and emergency response. The system is used to provide information on road closures, power restoration and shelter services. You may choose to receive notification by land line phone, cell phone, text and/or e-mail. To sign up for the service, fill out the form on the Home Page of the Town Website, www.newfairfield.org. Emergency information will also be posted on the website, as well as on the Town Facebook Page “Town of New Fairfield CT”.

GET READY FOR BUDGET SEASON

The budget workshops will begin in January. Each department will present their proposed budget for the 2024/2025 fiscal year. The agendas indicating the day and time will be posted on www.NewFairfield.org, along with the Zoom link, on the January 2024 calendar.

If you are interested in the budget and the budget process, then these workshops will be of great interest to you and we encourage EVERYONE to attend.

Town Hall will be closed on Monday, December 25th and Monday, January 1st in observance of the holidays.
