Bears: They are REAL contenders after beating the Packers.
The Bears showed that they are contenders by beating the Packers. Even though a bunch of Packers players were injured they showed a lot of grit to beat the Packers when they were down by 16. They then played good defense recovering an onside kick and winning in overtime with Caleb Williams throwing to DJ Moore for a huge play to win the game. The Bears absolutely stifled the Packers offense allowing 0 touchdowns in 5 redzone trips, proving their defense is just as good as their offense. Even though this Bears team has zero playoff experience, they could keep up with other teams and maybe make a playoff push. The Packers still made it close even while Parsons, Kraft, Love, Jacob’s, Doubs, and many more were injured and they still continue to fight every single week, even with the injuries. The Packers are still fine even with this loss. The Packers were playing awesome but a load of mistakes led to a loss. The Bears are big contenders this year to win the division, and make a playoff push.
#2: The Colts offense is set next year:
Who would have expected that this week Phillip Rivers could light up a 49ers defense that is top ten in least points allowed. If the Colts can do this without a franchise QB, they can be playoff contenders when they have their guy. The Colts offense is still top 10 in points, and yards, and Jonathon Taylor is still top 5 in rushing yards. The Colts future also has a top league offensive line, Young receivers, and Tyler Warren. The Colts offense is 7th best in the league in run blocking win rate also, and they have allowed the 8th least sacks. The Colts are an awesome team who should make the playoffs next year.
#3: Should Myles Garret get more MVP consideration?
Myles Garret has been insane this year. He is a sack away from breaking the sack record held by 2 hall of famers in TJ Watt and Michael Strahan. Garret is also the best run stopper this year leading the league with, 32 TFLs, and he ranks second in QB hits with 32. This is one of the greatest defensive seasons of all time, so of course he should get more consideration, and he should win it honestly. Without Myles Garret who knows if the Browns would have won a game this year. He is a easy lock for DPOY, and he deserves to be in the talks, even though he probably won’t win it.
