On the 23rd November 2023, Sustainable Futures held the Digitalisation, Circular Economy and Infrastructure Workshop. The aim of this workshop was to bring both internal academics and external attendees together to discuss how utilising digitalisation and embracing the principles of the circular economy can steer us toward achieving sustainable development.
The workshop consisted of 3 short presentations by University of Manchester academics, after which a group discussion with all attendees ensued. The first presentation was titled 'Applications of Circular Economy in Wastewater Treatment' and given by Dr Raphael Tarpani, Research Associate in Infrastructure and Resilience.
