Mu Alpha Theta membership requires that students are enrolled in a math course beyond Algebra II, achieve and maintain a B-average in all math courses and enjoy Mathematics!

History:

The Mu Alpha Theta National High School and Junior College Mathematics Club was founded in 1957 by Dr. and Mrs. Richard V. Andree at the University of Oklahoma. In his words, Mu Alpha Theta is "an organization dedicated to promoting scholarship in mathematics and establishing math as an integral part of high school and junior college education." The name Mu Alpha Theta was constructed from the Greek lettering for the phonemes m, a, and th.

Meetings

Our meetings are held from 1:50-2:20 p.m. on alternating Mondays.

Applications have closed for 2025-26. Eligible applicants have been notified via email. The first meeting for new members will be held in the Media Center on Monday, October 20th.

Current members do not need to re-apply!

Tutoring:

We aim to promote scholarship in mathematics by providing peer tutoring for all math courses!

Our student tutors provide support to various math classrooms on varying afternoons throughout the school year.
