This assignment was challenging for me but was easier than some of the other assignments. My inspiration for this assignment was my every day surroundings at night. Naturally, I am a night owl and stay up late. Many nights, I stay up long past those I live with. It is my favorite time of the day. There are no distractions, and no responsibilities. I feel at peace and chose to capture some lights that were outside of my window, and some city-scapes, which I saw while staying in a hotel in Boca Raton and Cleveland.

For my first photo, I was able to use a homemade tripod to try to take the best image possible. I used a timer on my phone to also try to keep the lens steady on my phone. For my second photo, I had trouble with the glare from the light of the bulbs. I think the glass and glow of the lights were part of the problem. I should have tried to shoot from a side angle and not use any flash. I liked the way that the lights glowed at night outside of my window, but I was unable to properly catch it.

For my third photo, I was able to more properly catch the glow of the light, as I was further away from my subject and the lighting was much better. For my last photo in a hotel in Cleveland, I was able to get the skyline from an angle that I thought was nice, although there was a fair amount of glair.
