The Blast Interim CM Holstine's Weekly Update | March 20, 2024

Paving Lower Visitacion Scheduled to Start Monday, March 25th

Staff was out earlier this week, as was the contractor, informing residents, businesses, and organizations on Visitacion Ave. between San Francisco St. and Mendocino that no parking would be allowed between 8 AM - 5 PM starting March 25th for a couple of days. Weather forecasts report the possibility of rain on March 25th, in which case the repaving will happen on March 26th, 27th, and March 28th if needed. The phases of work that will impact the street are 1) grinding off the existing pavement and full-depth asphalt repair of any potholed areas, 2) repaving with new asphalt concrete, and 3) striping. If you park off-street, and need to use your car that day, make sure it’s moved out of the work zone by 8 AM. Visitacion Ave. traffic will be detoured to San Bruno Ave. Traffic needing to cross Visitation at either Mariposa or Monterey Streets during the hours of work will be directed by flaggers and should expect delays. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the entire work zone to the extent possible.
