Until Pure
A girl. A cage. A void. A flower.
It begins in silence—a haunting calm until the void itself stirs, not with sound, but with intent. The story is simple, yet steeped in layered symbolism. Every element means something, and yet nothing—until you assign it meaning. This is not just a narrative to observe. It is an experience meant to reflect something within you. After all, art isn’t just about creating a character in a world... it’s about inviting the viewer to become part of it.
"art is meant to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed."
While the title "Your Key" was straightforward and it's enough for viewers to know what to expect from the story, it felt like it's not impactful enough. In the end, I changed it to "Until Pure" because it better suggests the journey toward clarity and peace through purification, which aligns with finally noticing the flower and being released from the cage. It implies a transformation—not necessarily becoming pure in a moral sense, but being cleansed of noise, fear, or weight. It captures the idea of: You suffer, you struggle, but then—clarity. A shift. A pause. And you are free.
Protagonist
Nira
A child, a little girl that embodies the meaning of purity, fragility—a naïve mentality. So purely yet dangerously impressionable. One lost in her own cage, lost in the grass field she could never touch. A vision where we are Nira and our mind is her cage. We are one.
Antagonist
Velm
A shadow, a disgusting black slime, the embodiment of anything BUT pure. The exact opposite of Nira. It is a sinister fog—a painful regret. Not kind but not inhumanely evil, just consuming. Velm never shouted. It whispered. It echoed Nira's worst thoughts in her own voice until they are one. Until we are one.
