The Temple of Heaven is a complex of imperial religious buildings.
It is one of the largest of Chinese architecture and was built with no nails. The Temple of Heaven was built during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1420 - 1900). It is representative of dynastic regime and Confucian theocracy.
This is where they worshipped the god of heaven and prayed for a good harvest; worshipping heaven (circular) and earth (square).
