10 Huskies Set For 2026 Olympics A program-record nine current, former and incoming Northeastern women's hockey players will represent four countries at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. Additionally assistant coach Melissa Piacentini will be Team USA's video coach at the Olympics.

TEAM USA

Kendall Coyne Schofield

The 2016 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner, Kendall Coyne Schofield will be representing Team USA at her fourth Olympics. Coyne Schofield was inducted into the Northeastern Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023 and led the Huskies to their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2016.

Aerin Frankel

Aerin Frankel, the 2021 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Winner, will be making her Olympic debut for Team USA. Frankel was the first-ever recipient of the National Goalie of the Year award in 2021 and helped guide the Huskies to their first-ever trip to the Frozen Four and national title game in the same year.

Gwyneth Philips

The 2023 National Goalie of the Year, Gwyneth Philips will also be at her first Olympics. A two-time First Team All-American, Philips owns the NCAA record with a .958 career save percentage.

Hayley Scamurra

A 100-point scorer for Northeastern, Hayley Scamurra will be repping the Red, White & Blue at her second Olympics. She was named Hockey East's Best Defensive Forward for the 2016-17 season and finished her career with 39 goals, 72 assists and 111 points.

Melissa Piacentini

On staff with Northeastern since August 2018, Melissa Piacentini will serve as Team USA's video coach at her first Olympics. Piacentini was elevated to the role of assistant coach with the Huskies in August 2023.

TEAM SWITZERLAND

Alessia Baechler

Alessia Baechler is the only Husky on the active roster to be named to an Olympic squad. She is set to represent Switzerland at her first Olympics. On the season so far, the rookie blueliner has posted 10 points off one goal and nine assists.

Alina Müller

Northeastern's all-time leading scorer with 254 career points, Alina Müller will represent Switzerland at her fourth Olympic games. Müller was a five-time, Top-10 Patty Kazmaier Memorial award finalist and five-time All-American.

Ivana Wey

Incoming freshman Ivana Wey is set to represent Switzerland at her first Olympics. She joins Baechler, Müller, Florence Schelling and Julia Marty as Northeastern's all-time Swiss Olympians.

TEAM CZECHIA

Denisa Křížová

A two-time Hockey East All-Star, Denisa Křížová is set to represent Czechia at her second Olympics. Over her four years at Northeastern, Křížová posted 62 goals, 107 assists and 169 points. Her 169 points ranks as the ninth-best mark in program history.

TEAM FRANCE

Chloé Aurard-Bushee

A first time Olympian with Team France, Chloé Aurard-Bushee finished her Husky career as one of just four 200-point scorers in program history. A five-time Hockey East All-Star and Second Team All-American (2020-21), Aurard is tied for third all-time in program history with 115 career assists.

Northeastern leads all Hockey East schools with nine Olympians and is tied for third-most among all NCAA women's hockey programs. With four former student-athletes on Team USA, Northeastern is tied for fifth among all NCAA institutions for number of Team USA Olympians.

Games are set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 5 with the preliminary rounds and the Gold Medal match is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 19. Group A includes Canada, Czechia, Finland, Switzerland and the United States, while Group B includes Japan, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and France. A full schedule can be found here.
