Hill Gym Husky Basketball and Women's Volleyball

Named after Warren G. Hill, the Hill Gym was built in the 1960s and rededicated in 1998. Hill Gym hosts Husky Basketball and Volleyball on Gary Fifield Court and had its flooring redone during the summer of 2023. The court is named after legendary women's basketball coach Gary Fifield, who led the Huskies to 21 Little East Conference Championships and 26 NCAA Division III National Championship tournaments appearances.

Men's Basketball: Husky Men’s Basketball has produced 47 All-Conference selections in its history along with 10 MMWBCA All-State selections, five All-ECAC picks, and two D3hoops.com All-Region honoree.

In 2024-25, graduate student Bryce Lausier became the second player in program history to earn D3hoops.com All-Region honors with a Region 2 Second Team All-Region nod. Lausier was also named First Team All-Little East Conference and First Team All-Maine Men's Basketball Coaches & Writers Association. Junior Thomas Whelan was also a First Team All-LEC pick.

Junior Thomas Whelan reached 1,000 career points during the 2024-25 season. Whelan was a First Team All-LEC selection and earned MMBCWA Second Team All-State Honors.

Women’s Basketball: The 21-time Little East Conference champion Husky Women’s Basketball is one of the premiere programs in the region. In their history the Huskies have earned seven WBCA All-American honors, five D3hoops.com All-American, 15 D3hoops.com All-Region selections, over 100 All-LEC honorees, 12 LEC Players of the Year, six LEC Rookies of the Year, and one LEC Defensive Player of the Year.

The 2024-25 team made it to the LEC Championship Game before falling to UMass Dartmouth. Freshman Lucy Wiles and graduate student Liz Cote each earned Second Team All-LEC honors. Wiles was also voted LEC Rookie of the Year and head coach David Chadbourne was named LEC Coach of the Year.

In addition to winning the LEC Rookie of the Year award, Wiles earned Rookie of the Year titles. She was named the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (MWBCA) Rookie of the Year, the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Rookie of the Year, and the D3hoops.com Region 2 Rookie of the Year.

Freshman Lucy Wiles earned four Rookie of the Year awards in 2024-25.

Women's Volleyball: In its history, the USM women's volleyball team has made the LEC Tournament nine times and has had 10 All-Conference selections. Jess Williamson earned four All-LEC nods from 2014-17 and was named the LEC Rookie of the Year in 2014 and the Offensive Player of the Year in 2017.

During the 2024 season, Huskies' libero Sierra Castonguay became the fourth player in program history to record 1,000 career digs.
