Black History Month

Well done to the following year 10 students who worked hard to write, rehearse, and perform an assembly to their year group on Black History Month. We learnt a lot about the life of Madam C.J. Walker, an entrepreneur who became the wealthiest self-made black woman in America.

Year 7 Book Club Updates

We had our very first year 7 book club today discussing 'The Woman In Black' by Susan Hill and it was lovely to see so much enthusiasm from the students when discussing this book! The theme of this book club catch up (as you can probably guess from the title) was 'gothic horror' in order to get into the Halloween spirit whilst reading and by golly the book was a hauntingly good read! We are currently arranging our next book club catch up so watch this space and get in touch with the library team if you are interested in joining!
