And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He gave us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Romans 5:5 NLT
CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR PASTURE VALLEY
Thank you to Mel and the Piet Retief church and community for their thoughtfulness in wrapping a gift for every child at Pasture Valley. Eleanor also directed the Christmas play this year. We can't miss the cute sheep costumes of course! As usual, the party was a blast for all the children .
Congratulations to all our Pasture Valley Pre-schoolers who have graduated and will be heading to “Big School” next year at the Pasture Valley Home School.
FORM 5 GRADUATION
The creche weren't the only ones to graduate! Dudu and Junior also finished their schooling and organised a beautiful prom evening complete with speeches, poems, singing and gumboot dancing
Some of the older children went on a short trip to Durban this December. They got to experience many firsts: the ocean, the aquarium, fruit markets, the spicy Durban cuisine and a 6 hour drive.
HOPE OUTREACH CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Hope Outreach Party is always a big event on the PV calendar! 350 children and caregivers from the community came and celebrated Jesus' birth with us. There were games, presents, T-shirts and a lot of food!
Sanele, Gcina and our Lindani successfully completed their internship (renewable energy) in Cape Town. We also received a visit from the ministry of Agriculture, who showed us what we could do to set up our own Aquaculture system.
Welcome to two new girls at Pasture Valley! They arrived just before Christmas. Sphe attended some training at Teen Challenge that strengthened his faith. Phiwa is now living with his relatives. Gcinile is expecting a baby and will complete her catering course in April 2024. She also recently got her drivers license.
STAFF YEAR-END FUNCTIONS
We are so grateful for the staff and volunteers we have been blessed with at Pasture Valley. They work hard to make it all happen!
LITSEMBA LAMI SUPPORT GROUP
Some of the Pasture Valley Teenagers have been involved in a course about gender-based violence this year, at NATICC. They performed a superb graduation, and we are proud of them!
