About the artist Emmanuelle Hernandez is a self-taught French American collage artist who works with found print media like magazines, flyers, mail, and packaging. Her work centers on the human figure, often placed in emotionally or politically charged environments. Inspired by world news, local issues, and social justice movements, her handmade collages invite viewers to engage with the layered stories that shape our collective experience. She also explores abstraction, allowing form and texture to take center stage. She is based in Yonkers, NY and Dieppe, France. Her work has been featured in an online issue of Contemporary Collage Magazine, and in local art galleries and pop-up group art shows.
