On Wednesday the 18th of June 2025 our year six pupils set out on an unforgettable adventure on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Aberdulias waterfalls ,Pontneddfechan. Gorge walking is an adventurous outdoor activity suitable for all. The adventure involves walking, climbing, swimming and jumping of cliffs in an amazing, fantastic and peaceful river gorge. To get ready for our activity we were equipped with appropriate gear for the day this included helmets, wetsuits, buoyancy aids and sturdy footwear to keep us safe.
When we arrived, we were greeted with the breathtaking view of the flowing river. Our ears were filled with the relaxing sound of falling water. The slippery rocks bordered the river edge. The thick tangled trees clawed at the air, untamed and wild. Doing the activities gave us an abundance of emotion including nervousness and excitement as well as the sense of uncertainty in certain pockets of the day.
Throughout the day we had a trilling experience. We worked through the turbulent water, jumbled over the slimy slippery rocks and jumped into different parts of the majestic river.in certain areas of the day we needed to help each other as there were times when the current was quite strong, so by holding on to each other we made our way through the river successfully. The experience truly was rememberable, pleasing and exciting.
