Learning Through Life Skills
Otselic Valley’s 6th grade students had the opportunity to put important teamwork and life skills into practice during a hands-on cooking class experience. Working collaboratively, students prepared beef tacos and made fresh pico de gallo from scratch.
From chopping ingredients and mixing flavors to assembling their finished tacos, students were involved in every step of the process. Activities like these help build confidence in the kitchen while reinforcing communication, responsibility, and problem-solving skills that extend beyond the classroom.
