Overview
Mine Mill Campground is open to the public from May 15 to October 15. There are seasonal spots, drive through lots for overnights and short term stays, as well as an area for tenting.
We are five minutes away from shopping center, restaurants, driving range and golf courses. At our Campground we offer 30 AMP service, potable water, and an easy access dumping station. Not to mention our sites are all pull throughs. We also have washrooms, showers, laundry facilities that can accommodate campers and free Wi-Fi. We are proudly union owned by “Mine Mill Local 598” and we welcome everyone to enjoy our beautiful campground, nice sandy beach (with a separate pet friendly beach), boat launch, soccer nets, basketball court and huge playground for the kids. We have lovely trails, and a spacious tenting area. We do sell ice and firewood, all other amenities are close by.

Great Beach!!
In addition to having a variety of fish, "Richard Lake is known for having low phosphorus levels despite being used for camping and living on its shores for decades. It has been described as a "jewel" in Sudbury's crown due to its more pristine state compared to other urban lakes. The lake is also being studied by Laurentian University to learn more about its unique characteristics."
Eight fish species are documented in Richard Lake, including brown bullhead, central mudminnow, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, walleye, white sucker, and yellow perch. (Yes, we do have a boat launch, see pictures below)
PLAY areas for all!!
If you want to shoot hoops, throw shoes, swing and slide all day long, or just kick a ball around, we have the spaces for big and little ones to enjoy.
We are a pet friendly park. Of course, with the common expectations of keeping them on leash and picking up after them. There are designated areas, including a beach area! Our park provides fabulous walking trails for you and your four legged companion as well.
No matter the size - we have your space!
