I am joining staff with an outdoor ministry named Lifelines. Lifelines is network of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ), which is an interdenominational Christian ministry with a presence on more than 1,100 college campuses in the United States. Our purpose is to use the outdoors to help people grow in relationship with God, in relationships with each other, in character and in leadership. Together, our team based in Boulder, CO is running after the hearts of every Colorado student.
The current reality
College campuses can be a place where the Gospel is often times proclaimed no louder than a whisper in the midst of so many other social pressures and world views, especially in places as secular as Boulder, CO.
College students are looking for meaning and are finding it in all the wrong places. This leaves them feeling empty and lonely. They desperately need to know the love of God.
my story
College was a critical time in my faith. God used Christian community in my life and a book to help me profoundly encounter the love of God. Ever since that encounter, I experience deep joy from the Gospel. God then put it on my heart to help others encounter the love of Jesus.
Despite graduating as an education major, I followed God's prompting to go into full-time ministry. Thus, I joined Lifelines to use my passion for the outdoors to reach students for Christ.
