We are on staff with Lifelines, an outdoor ministry of Cru. Cru is an interdenominational Christian ministry with a presence on more than 1,100 college campuses in the United States. Our desire is to use outdoor adventures and college ministry to help students step into the abundant life that Jesus offers them. We seek to help students grow in relationship with God, in relationship with others, and in character and leadership. Together, our team based in Boulder, CO is running after the hearts of every Colorado student.
The current reality
On college campuses, the Gospel is often just a whisper in a sea of so many other cultural messages and social pressures, especially in places as secular as Boulder, CO.
The world promises the fulfillment of their desires, but many students are left more anxious, depressed, and lonely than ever. Many are hungry for meaning, hope, joy, and authentic community. They are in need of someone to introduce them to the life that can be found in Jesus.
OUR story
Despite both growing up in ministry families, we went off to college to become a teacher (Andrew) and a nurse (Faith). God had other plans though. While in college, Andrew felt God calling him towards outdoor ministry through a profound experience of God's joy and experiences like being a camp counselor. Faith, meanwhile, had a growing love for the outdoors and wanted to spend a summer using that love for God.
So in 2022 we each decided to spend our summers as backpacking guides for a Christian ministry in Washington. It was here that we met, fell in love, and experienced a growing passion for using the outdoors as a bridge to connect young people to Christ.
Upon getting married and Faith finishing nursing school, we followed Andrew's calling into outdoor ministry by moving to Boulder, CO so Andrew could join staff with Lifelines. Faith felt called to pursue nursing for the time being. But God started moving in her heart, and a year later decided that she felt prompted to transition from nursing to go into full time ministry with Andrew. We are so excited to now work together to use our shared passions to help students encounter the love of Jesus.

funding and support
Cru has no central funds for paying salaries and ministry expenses, and so we depend on the consistent support of generous individuals and churches who give $100/month or some other amount to partner with us in kingdom building. Would you join us in reaching students for Christ with a monthly gift?
