Women's Basketball Hana OneQ changed its team name to 'Hana Bank'
Bucheon Hana One Q, a women's professional basketball team, will change its name to Hana Bank.
Hana One Q Women's Basketball Team announced on the 13th, "We will change the team name to 'Hana Bank Women's Basketball Team' and start the 2024-2025 season with a new team name."
The team name change was made to unify the brand with Hana Bank and expand synergy with its parent company. In line with the change of team name, a new emblem that will be used from 2024-2025 has also been unveiled.
The new emblem is made with a simple circular design reflecting the latest trends, and features the CI of Hana Bank, its parent company, in the shape of a basketball. In addition, Hana Bank's identity is naturally captured by applying the "Hana Green Color," which symbolizes Hana Bank, to continue the existing "Hana One Q Women's Basketball Team."
Hana Bank's women's basketball team has made it to the playoffs for the first time since its foundation last season. Ahead of this season, the team has recruited national team player Jinan to strengthen its capabilities and is stepping up preparations for the 2024-2025 season by renewing contracts with internal free agents Yang In-young, Kim Si-on and Kim Dan-ah.
An official from Hana Bank's women's basketball team said, "We successfully finished last season thanks to the endless fighting spirit of the players and the enthusiastic support of the fans," adding, "We will do our best to repay the fans' support with a stronger performance with the newly changed team name in the 2024-2025 season."
