PRINCIPAL'S DESK

Dear Bluejay Family, Friday was a joyful and very full day at St. Cecilia, as we celebrated several important milestones in the life of our school. We welcomed many families on campus for our Pre-K and Kindergarten Promotion ceremonies, as well as our Pre-K and Kindergarten Meet and Greet for incoming families. We also closed the day with our Final House Assembly. As we continue to welcome new families and experience steady growth, we remain grateful for the strong sense of connection that characterizes our school community. As we enter the final week of school, excitement is certainly building among our students. While these last days include celebrations and special traditions, they remain important school days. We ask for your partnership in reinforcing with students that expectations for behavior, effort, and attendance continue through the very last day. Finishing strong helps ensure that all students can enjoy these final moments safely and meaningfully. This Wednesday, we will gather for our annual 8th Grade Promotion Mass, where we will bid farewell to the Class of 2026. Please keep these students in your prayers as they take this next step in their journey. We pray for their continued growth in wisdom, faith, and success as they move on to high school. As we approach the end of the year, I am deeply grateful for the support of our families and the many ways you contribute to the life of our school.

Grace & Peace, Erin B. Henry Principal

Hallow Highlight

Christ's Ascension Into Heaven- Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Jesus into Heaven.  The Catechism (paragraphs #659-667) unpacks the line from the Creed, “He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.” Fr. Mike highlights the reality that we do not have direct access to the Father without his Son, Jesus. Christ’s ascension into heaven means, “the irreversible entry of his humanity into divine glory,” uniting our humanity with God’s divinity in a remarkable way—which finds its earthly culmination in the Holy Mass.

Honoring The Children of St. Cecilia School

Almighty Father, as grateful stewards of the blessings You have bestowed on us from past leaders and supporters of our beloved St. Cecilia School family, we ask for wisdom and guidance in carrying on this legacy of serving Your children in Your love. Guided by the Holy Spirit, may we be humbly attentive to Your will as we strive to build new spaces of learning for Your children to grow, providing a foundation for the vocations in life to which You call them. May generous hearts and minds be opened and inspired by Your grace as we undertake this endeavor of building on tradition and trusting in Your will. We pray this in the name of Your Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, as we invoke the intercession of our patroness, Saint Cecilia. Amen

From the Athletic Director

Bluejay Tennis wrapped up an outstanding season! Congratulations to all of our student-athletes on a great year filled with growth, development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and progress shown throughout the season. Thank you for representing Bluejay Athletics with pride—great season, Bluejays!  Basketball Fundamentals Camp This summer, Coach Danny will be hosting a Basketball Fundamentals Camp for any upcoming 5th through 8th-grade students who are interested in playing basketball next school year! This is limited strictly to St. Cecilia students. This camp is a great opportunity for your child to sharpen their skills, learn or improve their game, and enjoy time on the court with their peers. It will primarily have a focus on the core aspects of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense in an effort to help kids become just a little bit more comfortable with the ball in their hands, help them decide if they'd like to play this upcoming season, and give them tools and drills that they can use to improve on their own during the offseason. Details are listed below!  Camp Details:  Dates: July 13th-16th  Who: Upcoming 5th–8th Grade Girls and Boys   Location: St. Cecilia Gym  Cost: $50 per child (billed through FACTS)
