The workplace is no longer just where work gets done; it’s a strategic platform for reinforcing who an organization is, through its people. This panel will bring together real estate leaders and executives from global organizations to discuss how employees’ sense of identity at work, along with organizational culture, can be built into physical space.
This panel will bring together real estate leaders and executives from global organizations to discuss how employees’ sense of identity at work—how strongly people see themselves as part of their role and company — along with organizational culture, can be built into physical space. From architecture and amenities to spatial layouts and experiential design, the workplace becomes both a mirror of collective identity and a lever for business performance. Brand plays a critical role in this translation, serving as the bridge between organizational values and the everyday experiences employees have in their environment which connects to the business results.

Why Leadership and Purpose Matter in Today’s Workplace
Wednesday, October 29, 2025 | 3:45 PM - 4:30 PM PT | Room 207CD
Purpose. Organizations need to find, implement, and amplify their purpose. The challenges of the past few years have pushed us to adapt—keeping our workforce engaged and productive. Now, as organizations continue to evolve, they must define, describe, and demonstrate their purpose. And that’s not just through a physical presence—it’s about fostering a strong, supportive culture. Questions to ask: What is your leadership style today, and how has it changed? With ongoing shifts in the workforce, how can leaders help employees understand leadership styles what success looks like and how they fit into that definition? This uncertainty touches everyone—the workforce, middle management, and senior management—who have not had to demonstrate collectively in this way before. Having dealt with that uncertainty in a more distributed way, many organizations still struggle with responding together.
To define purpose:
#1 organizations have to understand who they are.
#2 organizations need to understand what its leadership style is.
#3 organizations need to look for every opportunity to demonstrate that purpose, whether it be the culture, in the brand, where they are in the community and how they're tied into the community.
