NEW-World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser
JB's World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser is HERE! It's simple, buy a box of delicious chocolate bars and sell them to friends/family/co-workers. This year the bars are BIGGER and sell for $2.00 a piece. Thank you for helping us raise money for JB!
REMINDER-Hope Packs
J.B. Stephens Elementary School participates in the weekend Hope Packs program to offer a supply of nutritious snacks for children over the weekend. This program is being offered through a collaboration between the Hancock County Food Pantry and the Midwest Food Pantry for children in grades K-3. If you are struggling to meet your family's food needs and would benefit from receiving additional food, we can provide this program free of charge.
Any child that meets the criteria of free and reduced lunch is eligible for this program. If your family is enrolled in this program, your child will receive a bag of food each Friday for the remainder of the school year or until you no longer wish to participate.
If you are interested in the program, please reach out to Sarah Nagle the school Social Worker at snagle@gcsc.k12.in.us or at 317-462-4491 ext. 41206 by August 14.

School Dismissal Manager is now LIVE! Please check your email for login and set up directions. As of September 3rd, we will only utilize this APP for dismissal changes. Please call the front office if you did not receive your login email or you need assistance. 317-462-4491.
REMINDER-Dress Code Update
Footwear-JBS Student Handbook Update
To ensure the safety and comfort of all students, our dress code includes specific guidelines for footwear.
Please follow these rules when selecting shoes for school:.
Footwear for School: to ensure both comfort and safety, students should wear closed toe shoes with backs that are appropriate for the student learning day. Students should not wear flip flops, slides, open back shoes, or high heels. If your child does not have safe, appropriate shoes for learning and recess play, your child may not participate in the activity or you may be asked to bring appropriate footwear. The full policy is outlined in the student handbook.

- Doors Open: 7:30am
- Tardy Bell: 7:45am
- Breakfast (optional/paid): 7:30am-7:45am (if your child is eating breakfast at school, please be sure to get them to school by 7:30am, so they have plenty of time to eat)
- Dismissal: 2:10pm

If you child is eating breakfast at school, please make sure they arrive at school by 7:30am.
reminder-Volunteer Form
If you're interested in volunteering this school year, attending field trips, etc, all volunteers must complete a Volunteer Profile application, found by clicking here, before volunteering. This form must be completed each school year. We look forward to having you at JB!
